New York

Holly & Jordan take on New York.
The first night we got to New York we took a boat cruise on this boat. It started at midnight and went until 2 in the morning. We ran in the rain for several blocks, trying not to spend a million dollars on taxis. And, we barely made it. After the boat cruise around the city we enjoyed the night life of New York in the rain, and loved how even though it was 3 in the morning there were still people out on the streets, and all the lights were alive. I'll admit I did get a little scared getting on the subway at 3 in the morning but Jord has a way of making everything an adventure and taking all of my cares away.

We stayed in Brooklyn at the cutest little loft. The area was a little sketchy, especially the walk from the subway to the loft during the wee hours of the night. We saw some things that made me grip Jord's hand a little tighter. But now looking back we just laugh about how we pretended to be fearless.

Of course while we were there we went to a Mets game, and there were no Yankee home games.. But luckily there was a soccer game at the Yankee Stadium and if you know anything about Jord, you know how much he loves soccer.

Pretty crazy how they turn the baseball diamond into a soccer field.
Anywhere we travel, we love to use Urbanspoon for reviews on where to eat.
Here we are at a sushi place in Brooklyn.
Buuuut.. ShakeShack is my favorite. I still crave it on the most random days. And I'd be lying if I said we didn't eat here more than once.. And also on our way out at the airport.
Almost everyday we were there it rained, so I wore a lot of layers. Here's a few pics of Central Park.

The one day it didn't rain, we had plans to go to Coney Island.. So that worked out perfectly. But.. The water was freezing so we didn't even attempt to swim.

Times Square.
We spent everyday here. No matter what our plans were. We even broke a few umbrellas trying to brave the weather.

This was our first trip of 2013. My favorite trip of 2013 will be posted next.
